Carbon Impact Fee
The ITT Sustainability Committee continues to partner with the industry to develop better strategies and plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop travel and tourism experiences which aim to protect destinations, the natural environment and enhance local communities’ livelihoods.
At ITT, we take great pride in supporting and protecting the destinations that host our annual ITT Conference. We recognise the importance of sustainable tourism and the lasting impact that responsible travel can have on local communities, businesses, and environments.
Each year, we actively engage with our host destination to contribute meaningfully—whether through charitable initiatives, sustainability projects, or partnerships that leave a positive legacy. Our commitment extends beyond the conference itself, ensuring that our presence benefits the destination long after our event concludes.

All delegates will be required to pay a £25 Carbon Impact Fee to offset their attendance at the Conference.
As part of ITT Conference's commitment to sustainability, delegate carbon offsetting fees will be donated to support Bosque Natural World, a reforestation initiative that helps remove carbon from the atmosphere while restoring natural ecosystems.
This year, ITT Conference will specifically support the expansion of the Algarrobo (carob tree) planting programmewithin Bosque Natural World's Folia Project in Arenas, Málaga, Spain. Chosen for their exceptional drought resistance, longevity and ability to thrive in challenging conditions, carob trees play an important role in creating resilient forests capable of delivering long-term environmental benefits.
The Folia Project has reforested 1.12 hectares of land with native and drought-resistant species, including Aleppo pine, carob and wild olive trees. Officially registered with Spain's Ministry for Ecological Transition (MITERD) Carbon Footprint Registry, the project is expected to absorb approximately 88 tonnes of CO₂ over a 30-year period. Alongside tree planting, Bosque Natural World invests in ongoing forest management, including irrigation maintenance, replanting programmes, habitat enhancement and land stewardship to maximise the project's long-term environmental impact.
By supporting the Algarrobo planting programme, ITT Conference delegates are contributing to a tangible, verified initiative that helps combat climate change while supporting the regeneration of valuable natural landscapes.
